Amidst the wailing sirens
He had never imagined
A meeting like this
Yet here he was
Trying not to break
He looked at her again
Just to be sure
Its been so long since he had seen her
The calmness of her face gave it away
Yet he put in all his might
To bring her back
And give her another chance
Seeing no sign from her
It finally hit him
That she was gone
It took every inch of strength he had
To calm the turmoil rising inside him
Never before has he felt such helplessness
Amidst the other burning pyres
He lit her's too
Choking on his years of love and memories
That were now reduced to ashes
All his life he lived in the bubble
And now that the bubble has burst
He was drenched
In the wave of dejection
Yet with a broken heart and soul
He got up again
For he had lives to save!
