If Only

If only, you have someone to listen to you;

If only, you have someone to feel your turmoil;

If only, you have someone to understand your pain;

May be then, you'll open up,

May be then, we'll be able to move a step closer,

May be then, we'll be able to actually care,

May be then, we'll understand that,

It's okay, not to be okay

It's okay, to breakdown

It's okay, to let your emotions flow

It's okay, to accept help and grow

May be then, we'll be able to hear the cries,

And may be then, we'll be able to save the lives,

If only, we both take one step, towards each other, at a time...

Musing

Every night he would sit by the window

And gaze into the never-ending night

The lights from the next building

Illuminated the entire sky

But all he felt was darkness inside

Like he was getting pulled down

By unknown forces of his mind

Tired of the constant struggle he would close his eyes

And as the cold breeze caressed his face

He would hear the soothing music

Coming from the neighbour's house

And like every other night he would fall asleep peacefully

Unaware of the cosmic forces 

Which wanted him 

To find his lost self again

And breathe life into his dead soul!

There will be an end

To the chaos

To the sadness

To the hopelessness

To the hatred

'coz nothing lasts forever

Neither day nor night

Neither truth nor lie

Neither you nor I

Sooner or later

We will find

The solace for the chaos

The smile for the sadness

The kindness for the hopelessness

The love for the hatred

And peace for our souls

'coz nothing lasts forever

As the door closes, darkness engulfs him

his mind starts running looking for a way out

eyes barely seeing and legs stumbling against the hurdles

his soul reaches out to the universe

searching for comfort 

like a needle in the haystack

but all he gets is an eerie silence

his legs wobble and he collapses on the floor

barely able to breathe

he panics and as he loses consciousness

he feels two hands picking him up

the door opened and walls broke

and as the moonlight crept in from the cracks

he found himself in peace as he drifted off to sleep

When the sun takes the plunge,
and submerges in the sea
When the moon takes the lead,
and shines half heartedly
When the stars come up,
to brighten the sky
When the waves try to calm,
the darkness of night
There is peace all around
and I can hear my heart's every beat
unraveling my deepest secrets,
I close my eyes and live my dreams,
I feel happiness rushing through my veins
and my lips curving into a smile,
and in that moment
I feel alive...
