With the twilight hues of sky

One more day comes to an end

Moments became memory

And memories have faded away

He runs behind his past everyday

Searching for the happiness

He lost on his way

And like everytime 

He returns back empty-handed

He glaces at the mirror on the wall

And sees a broken soul

Dejected and scarred 

The war between his heart and mind

Intensifies the chaos 

And then suddenly

The silence engulfs him

And in a flicker of light

He sees his happy soul

Smiling back at him

And he realises

The door to happiness

Had always been inside him

With unspoken words

I crossed over 

to the dark side

And built a wall around myself

Everyday I woke up

To fight a new battle

But today was different

A knock

Made me realize

Every wall that I built, had a door

Surprisingly, I opened it

And found the magic, I had been looking for 

Searching for the ethereal world

I didn't realise, I carried a universe inside me

A universe

Of dreams and struggles

Of chaos and solace

Of the stories and battle scars

Of scars which have healed and are yet to heal

Seeing the brokenness

I realised our souls are stronger

Than we believe

So I sprinkled some stardust

Spread my wings and flew away

With a newfound strength

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes!
