She crept in
through the windows
spreading joy along her path
but still could not embrace him
for everytime she came close
He slipped further away
into the black hole
running away from the joy
which was standing with open arms
ready to engulf him in its glory
who could have imagined
darkness was this afraid of the light
that even after
being two sides of the same coin

phir yakeen aata hai ki shayad yeh woh mukaam hai
jahan maine zindagi se dosti kar li hai aur kaanto ko gale lagaya hai
shayad maine khud ko paa liya hai
shayad is bheed mein mujhe woh sukoon mil gaya hai
jiski mujhe hamesha se talash thi..

And in the moments of distress
we realize
how blessed we all are
yet we give it all away
for we are too scared
to acknowledge
the emotional wreck we have become

that we stop appreciating the good

of the endings
that we overlook the beginnings
and still live with the hope
that one day
