Surveys In India

My lecturer taught me how important a survey is for an company. It helps them to know about their public image, competitors as well as the threats and opportunities prevailing in the market. But i wonder how much successful the surveys actually are which are conducted here. No one wants to do a survey and anyways who would want  to roam around door to door in such hot and humid summer afternoon just for the sake of filling some questionnaires??? They can probably fill it themselves by giving fake responses and submit it, who's gonna check that anyway! and this is exactly what happens here.

One fine Sunday afternoon i finally decided to sit and sincerely study for my exam but my plans went down the drain with a door bell. I wondered who could it be, i mean who can come to visit us that too on a lazy Sunday afternoon!! And the surprise visitor was none other than a lady conducting survey on various telephone/cellphone network providers. And i was like "okay fine, shoot your questions". She had a huge bunch of papers and as i was analyzing them, she bombarded me with questions, and even before i could answer it she filled it and went on to another question and i was like "what the hell is she doing??" , i mean if she had to fill it own her own then why bother me? seeing my puzzled look she replied- "main jaldi jaldi kar deti hoon taki aapka time waste na ho". and she went on with the questions and finally completed it and finally took my contact details and went away.

After she went I thought how much difficult it would have been for her, to go door to door finding people to fill up the questionnaires and out of them half of whom would not even be interested and the rest half would have got got irritated because of the length of the questionnaire. May be that's the reason she said "i wont waste your time". Even i got irritated not because of the length of questionnaire but b'coz she wasn't actually taking into account what i was saying. God knows what all she has actually written in that!! For her it was about meeting the targets by filling up all the questionnaires, which i think she surely achieved, but the purpose of the company which conducted the survey was defeated completely as the data collected wasn't reliable enough!! If this is the manner in which surveys are conducted and if this is the attitude of people towards surveys, then surely no company can survive in such conditions!! We still have a long long way to go to compete with other world class countries....

Yeh dil maange more.........!!!!!!!!

I remember in my childhood there used to be an ad about Pepsi with Shahrukh Khan n Sachin Tendulkar, where SRK used to pull various tricks just for one bottle of Pepsi. The best part about the ad was its tagline "yeh dil maange more!!!!!!!!!" , though at that time I didn't quite understand the actual meaning about it, but today, being a management student having good knowledge of marketing strategies, i know what that line actually depicts (though u don't have to be a management student to understand this! :P ).
That tag line was not about a bottle of Pepsi but about human nature.

We humans are never satisfied. We just know how to crib about the things we don't have but we don't look at those things that we have. We never realize that there are people who are less fortunate than us. How many times have we heard lines like "kaash 10 marks aur aa jate toh pass ho jata" or "kaash 75% ki jagah 85% aa jate toh mera so and so college m admission ho jata"

When we don't have anything we complain, when we get something we crib for another thing and this process continues! Later on when we lose all this, then we realize that, that a little something was better.

Throughout our life we run behind different things. When we are in school, we crave for college life but after reaching college we realize school was much better. After college, like other people we also become a part of rat race. Pehle ache college mein admission lene ke liye marte hain, then achi company mein placement ke liye marte hain, job milti hai toh salary package ke piche marte hain, woh bhi mil jaye toh ache life partner ke liye tadapte hain aur uske baad bachi hui umar apne bachcho ke liye marte hain. Puri zindagi bas mar mar ke guzaar dete hain, kabhi hassi khushi jeene ka nahi sochte. And when we reach our final stage, lying on our death bed we again crave ki "kaash zindagi thodi aur lambi hoti"

Wishes are endless but life does end one day.
Certainly yeh dil hamesha maange more!!!!! But you don't have to always run behind  your wishes to fulfill them. Life is not just about fulfilling your wishes but enjoying every moment that comes along.
Life is made up of 3 L's -  LIVING, LOVING and LEARNING.
Living your life as per your wish.
Loving what you do.
and Learning from your mistakes.
You may fulfill your TO-DO list by being a part of the rat race but you wont be able to enjoy your success as you'll be too busy running after other things.
Your life is precious. Make it worth it.

Work as though you would live forever,
and live as though you would die today.

Give yourself a chance,
Give yourself the moment,
Give yourself the freedom,
Give yourself the power,
Give yourself the confidence,
Live for today not for tomorrow,
Live the EXTREME!!!!!!!
Because you got yourself only one life... LIVE IT!!!!!

COMPROMISE - ANOTHER NAME FOR LIFE..!!

Life is all about the choices we make. Sometimes the choice is for our happiness and sometimes for the happiness of others. But whatever it may be, we all have to compromise at every single step of life, from the start of the day to the end we compromise on every single matter...
Take this example , you want to eat your favorite dish in dinner but your mom has prepared something which you don't like, but still you eat it, for her happiness.

Life is full of similar compromises. Though its our life , we live it to please others; whatever we do , it is for the happiness of others. we want to see our close ones smile, and in this process we forget to realize that we also have a right to live our life in our own way. Sometimes there is a conflict between our choices and we are not able to decide what is right and what is wrong. We constantly live for others....we think that if our one action brings a smile on our loved ones face then why not?

But is this compromise right?? To an extent its okay but what after that?? How long can u live your life like others say? How long will you compromise with your life? Don't you have the right to live your life in your way?? Why do we have to bow down in front of our parents? Why don't they trust in our abilities? Why do they always feel that whatever we are doing is wrong? Why does this happens always? On one hand they tell us to be independent and on other hand they make us more dependent......

But the irony is that the only solution to this problem is "COMPROMISE". A little compromise by us and a little compromise from others will make this life satisfactory for both...
I guess that's what life's all about...

One day........Someday.....

I don't know what i want,
I don't know what to do,
I cant let go my past,
when life is running through,
I know i cant do this anymore,
but I believe that,
one day someday we gonna be together,
one day someday I'll be happy forever,
one day someday all my dreams will be true,
one day someday life will come back to you........

No matter how much i fall, i will rise again,
cant stay down here, 'coz that's not where i belong,
I cried my eyes out, but now i wont,
cuz i believe that,
oneday someday we gonna be together,
oneday someday i'll be happy forever,
oneday someday all my dreams will be true,
oneday someday life will come back to you........
